Clara Laging passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones, with family members holding her hands. She died 7 hours short of her 94th birthday in the home she built in 1939 at 6715 N. Robert J. Cahill

Mr. Cahill was born, raised and educated in Birkenfeld, Oregon. He worked as a log truck driver before entering the US Army in 1943 where he served in the 398th Engineers Corps in the European Theater. Following the service, Robert worked as a commercial truck driver. He retired as a Teamsters Driver in 1983. Robert was an avid hunter.
Deborah Jean Haner

Deborah was born, raised and educated in Portland, Oregon. She graduated from Roosevelt High School. After high school she worked as an assembler for Tektronix retiring in 1991. She then became a homemaker. Deborah was a member of Pioneer Methodist Church in St. Johns. She also served as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. She was an avid bowler.
Dorthea 'Dot' Sauter

An Oregon native, Dot was the daughter of Orville and Bertha Nelson. Dot is survived by her children, Stephen D. Sauter and Catherine M. Sauter; and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, in Hustad Funeral Home, 7232 N. Richmond Ave., Portland.
