Tillie Moran passed away on October 6, 2015 in Portland. She was 94. Tillie was born on January 24, 1921 in Omaha, NE to Nickolas and Stella Winnicki. She was raised and educated there. She left Nebraska and came to Oregon to work in the shipyards during World War II. Later she worked at Swift and Company Meat packing where she met Joseph Moran. They were later married in April 1958. They made their home in Portland. Tillie was a homemaker but also worked at various thrift stores in St Johns and was also a floral arranger at Harvey's Flower Shop in Hillsdale. Later Tillie worked for a family friend doing estate sales. Tillie was a member of Assumption Catholic Church for over 30 years, but recently attended St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Portland. Tillie enjoyed Bingo, Bunco and Bowling as well as oil painting, gardening and working with ceramics. For over 30 years, Tillie make the corsages for the "Ladies Night" for the Oregon Duckhunters Association. Tillie is survived by her daughter, Patricia Wilson and her husband Dirk; A sister, Irene Gahl and numerous nieces and nephews and her dear friends Doris and Jerry Bolz. The family would like to thank Peter and Ofelia Danisu for their loving care. A public visitation will be on Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Hustad Funeral Home. A funeral will be held on Friday, October 16th at 1:00 PM at Hustad Funeral Home Chapel followed by interment will be at Skyline Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to Hustad Funeral Home.
