Steven G. McRobert, 70, of Cornelius, OR. passed away unexpectedly on Nov, 17, 2014 due to a heart attack. Steve was born on Sept, 19, 1944 at the Forest Grove Community Hospital to Curtis and Joanna McRobert. He spent his childhood fishing, hunting and trapping in Gales Creek, OR. He graduated from the Gales Creek Elementary. The family moved to Crescent City, CA in 58. Then he graduated from Del Norte High School, class of 62. After high school he worked at Diebold Lumber Co. in Smith River, CA. He then moved to Beaverton, OR. And went to work for General Motors Corporation. After 36 years of service as a Warehouseman and the Health and Safety Representative for UAW he retired in 2004. Steve was an avid fisherman, bowler and golfer. He was a long time member at Forest Hills Golf Course. He had a 55 Chevy that was his pride and joy. He loved driving and showing it at numerous car shows in Oregon and California. He is survived by his wife Debra, Sister Myrna (Mike) Finley and Brothers Keith, Walt (Laurie) McRobert and Dan Houston. Four children, Mike, Steve (Cindy), Shannon McRobert and Ryan (Stacee) Himes. Twelve grandchildren, Brandon and Tate Himes. Dustyn, Evan, Maudie, Kodie, Connor, Nathan and Alisa McRobert. Donnie, James and Kassidy Werder. A Celebration of life will be held on Dec. 5th at 11:00am at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 2327 17th Ave Forest Grove, OR.
