Shirley Jean Cole passed away on July 27, 2020 in Portland, Oregon after a long illness.  She was 85 years old.

Shirley was born on September 18, 1934 in Hibbing, Minnesota to Guy and Lottie Robertson.  She came to Oregon in 1939 when her family moved here to work in the shipyards during World War II.

Shirley was married to Donald Cole on May 15, 1954 in Holy Cross Catholic Church and they raised four children.  Shirley was a homemaker, a supervisor at Purdy Brush Co., president of the Pier Park baseball league for several years and a longtime member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.  She loved country music, dancing, and gardening.   Shirley loved all children and they loved her.

Shirley is survived by her husband Don; daughter Penny Lytle; sons Michael and Paul Cole; sister Donna Marshall and grandchildren:  Alissa Clendenin, Brookelynn Sommer, Chase Cole and Jacob and Jordan Miller.

A private family placement will be held at Skyline Memorial Gardens in Portland.  A celebration of life will be announced separately.
