Rudolph (Rudy) Anthony Lasich of Portland passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. He was 88 Years Old. Rudy was born on June 8, 1926 in Portland, Oregon to Mike & Katherine Lasich. He served in WWII on the USS Tulagi. Rudy was married to Theresa Polich on September 4th 1948. He retired from Freightliner after 37 dedicated years. In the early 50's, Rudy built the family home while working two jobs. They lived in this home for 63 years. Rudy was an excellent swimmer spending many summer days of his childhood at Creston Pool. Rudy loved skiing, had a passion for golf & salmon fishing. As the years went by his Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren were his greatest joy. Rudy was preceded in death by his wife Theresa Polich Lasich who passed away in 2007. Rudy is survived by son Bob Lasich (Patty), daughter Toni Lasich Robinson (Sandy). Grandchildren, Nichole, Steven, Mike & Cora. Great Grandchildren, Easton, Dylan, Simone, Luke & Jalen. Sisters, Violet (deceased), Antoinette & Bernice. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, March 23, 2015 11 am St Patrick's Catholic Church 1623 NW 19th Ave Portland Oregon 97209. A reception will follow in church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Cross Catholic School in memory of Rudy Lasich, 5202 N. Bowdoin St. Portland Oregon 97203.
