Roy Redman, Jr. passed away peacefully at home on September 16, 2016. He was 95. Roy was born in Fort Benton, Montana to Roy and Nora Redman. He was raised and educated in North Powder, Oregon, graduating from High School there. Roy served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII in the pacific. He was discharged as Staff Sergeant in 1945. Roy was married to Louise Fitzwater on July 11, 1954 in Portland and they remained married until her death in 1984. Roy worked as a mechanic and later a Service Manager for Wentworth Chevrolet, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Shriners and The Portland Elks Lodge. He loved gardening and spending time in his yard.
He is survived by children, Pat Kapur and Dan (Margaret) Redman, 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren along with longtime friend, Ede MacCoumber.
A graveside gathering will be Monday, September 26, 2016 at 11:00 at Skyline Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hustad Funeral Home.
