Rosie Elaine Lyons was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 4,1956 to Rosie Lee and James Lyons. She was also blessed with loving God parents Mr. & Mrs. Anderson of Ecorse, Michigan. She was known to her family and friends as Tiny. Tiny graduated in 1972 from Southwestern High School located in SW Detroit, Michigan.  In 1973, Tiny gave birth to her only child Shannon Anthony Lyons Sr. He was the joy to her happiness.  She wanted to give her son the world and a better life.  She moved to Portland Oregon in the late 80's. She began working at the United States post office downtown Portland, Oregon. Tiny was a dedicated hard working for over 20yrs at the post office. Due to the recession and layoffs, she was blessed with her Job at the Portland Convention Center.  She worked at the Portland Convention Center for over 15yrs. She was able to meet so many different people while working at the Convention Center and touched many lives. Anyone that was blessed to know Rosie (Tiny) would tell you she was one of a kind and when God made her, he didn't make any duplicates. She spoke her mind always and still loved you and prayed with you.

Tiny loved the Lord with all her heart.  She gave her life to the Lord in 2005.  She attended Emmanuel Temple Church.  In her free time, she loved bingo, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.

Tiny instilled in her son and grandchildren nothing in life is free.  You must work hard.  She would say you can accomplish anything that you put your mind to. Education Is a must.  God grants you the opportunity to attend college.  Please get all your degrees and grandma will be right there cheering you on every step of the way.

She leaves to cherish her son Shannon A Lyons Sr, Daughter in law Nicola Spears Lyons, her Grandchildren: Damariea Harris, Shontell Lyons Huff, Shannon Anthony Spears Lyons Jr, Zanya Lyons, Darelle Lyons, Jakai Lyons, Great grandchildren: A'marie Jewell Harris, De'shon Simmons, Michael Huff, Milani Huff, Brother James Lyons, Brother Vincent Grey (Duke), Best friend/sister Barbra Scott, Best friend Miriam Meraz, And a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles.
