Roberta Self Halvorson died in her sleep Saturday morning at the Hearthstone Assisted Living in Beaverton, Oregon.  She was to celebrate her 100th birthday in October.

She was born in Oklahoma City. Her family had modest opportunities. Things would change.  Meeting and marrying an Air force officer exposed her to constant travel, embassy cocktail parties, servants and living in foreign countries.  It was exciting and tiring.  She always just wanted to return home to Oklahoma.  Now she can.

Roberta is survived by two children, Marcia and Hal.  She will be cremated in St John's Portland Oregon.
