Robert Stanley Bickley, age 84, passed away Saturday December 31, 2016 peacefully at home in Portland, OR of heart failure.

Bob was a native of NYC; the youngest son of Dr. Emil Burton Bickley and Mildred Eadie Bickley.  He had one older brother Emil Bickley and an older sister Anne Lyons, both deceased.

Bob graduated from Cornell University in 1953, achieving his Bachelor of Science Degree with a Distinction in Chemistry.  He also received his MBA in International Business in 1958 from Columbia University. He was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.

He served in the US Airforce from 1954-1956, was honorably discharged as 1st Lieutenant and awarded the Home Defense Medal of Honor.

Over the years, Bob lived and worked in NH, MA and NJ, travelling globally throughout his career. He quietly spent the last 10 years of his life in Portland, OR near one of his daughters and grandchild.

He is survived by his former spouse, Doris Bickley and two daughters Suzanne Castner and Michelle Bickley, their spouses Joe Castner and Jon Guetschow and granddaughter Edme Guetschow.

A small private memorial service was held for Bob on January 15, 2017 in Portland, OR.
