Obituary

Regina L. Strickland, age 74, died peacefully at home on July 14, 2018 surrounded by her family.  She was a lifelong Portland resident graduating from Grant High School.  She was an ER Unit Secretary, chart and data entry clerk at St. Vincent Hospital for 45 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank & Evelyn (Schipper) Steinheiser.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Frederick M. Strickland and their four children, Luria D. Sheard (spouse Richard), Shawn M. Terwilliger (spouse Daniel), Dawn K. Cooper (spouse Kevin), and Frederick H. Strickland.  She also has five grandchildren.

Regina's passion was supporting Little League Baseball and Softball in Portland and beyond, dedicating over 30 years ensuring the leagues success. She was the District 1 Administrator for 6 years and remained on staff until she could physically give no more.  She provided volunteer services for the Little League Softball World Series held each year at the Alpenrose Stadium since 1994.  Regina held several positions such as Assistant Director, Head Scorekeeper, and Tournament Historian.  When she wasn't providing Little League services you could find her in the company of her pets enjoying a good sci-fi or murder mystery movie or engaged in her puzzle books.  She also enjoyed trips to Rockaway Beach and Seaside with her loving family to stroll about the shops and make memories with those that loved her the most.

There will be a memorial service on July 23, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the Hustad Funeral Home located at 7232 N. Richmond Avenue (St. Johns), Portland, Oregon.
