Ray Wayne Wecker

September 22, 1944 – August 2, 2018

Ray Wayne Wecker passed away peacefully on August 2, 2018 with family members vigilant by his bedside. He was born on September 22,1944 in Portland, Oregon to Raymond and Pauline Wecker, who came to Oregon to work in the shipyards before starting their family. He was the eldest of their seven children.

Ray attended St. Cecelia Grade School and graduated from North Catholic High School class of 1962.  He was a gifted athlete who made the All-League Honors on the State Championship Baseball Team.

Ray is survived by his sisters: Donna, Paulette and Charmaine along with brothers, Von, John and Steven and many nieces and nephews.  He will be missed by all who loved him.

A funeral will be at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5227 N. Bowdoin Street in Portland, will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 29th, 2018 followed by a reception at the parish hall.  Later there will be a committal at Skyline Memorial Gardens in Portland.  All are invited to share in our prayers for our beloved brother.  Arrangements entrusted to Hustad Funeral Home.
