Obituary

Phyllis Gertrude Boyer was born to George & Beatrice March on May 14th, 1929 at Wilcox Memorial hospital now known as Good Samaritan. Weighing in at only 2lbs 13oz she was the smallest baby at that time to survive. She grew up in tenement housing now currently known as the Memorial Coliseum. She graduated Jefferson high school and then attended Van Port College for a bit. Her first job was at White Stag as a seamstress and she was also involved with civil air patrol in her younger years. She married Stanley D Boyer Jr on Dec 13th 1952 and began a family. Losing her husband to cancer in 1978 she returned to the workforce after many years and also learned to drive for the first time at 50 years old. She loved to oil paint, crochet and do many different arts/crafts. Her other passion was writing music and poetry. She is survived by her 3 children, 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and numerous people she considered extended family. She will be missed greatly by many who she touched the lives and hearts of.
