Obituary

Patti A. Nordstrom, 74, passed away due to natural causes at her Havre residence on Wednesday, June 19, 2025.  Funeral services will be held in Portland, Oregon, under the direction of Hustad Funeral Home on Saturday, June 28th at 12:00pm with burial services at Finley-Sunset Hills Cemetery at 2:00pm.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements.  Please visit Patti's online memorial page to send a card or leave a message of condolence for her family at www.hollandbonine.com.

Patti was born on September 4, 1950, in San Diego, California, to her biological mother Mary Mesquita and later adopted by LaVerne R. and Violet L. (Wheeler) Nordstrom.  When she was 3 years old, Patti moved to Portland, Oregon with her adoptive parents, where she graduated from Roosevelt High School.  She lived there until the past few weeks, when she relocated to Havre, Montana, to live with her son and daughter-in-law.

Patti was a woman with a giant heart who enjoyed studying the Bible and connecting with family and friends on Facebook.  When she was younger, she loved to listen to old rock.  Her whole life, Patti loved to laugh and adored animals.  She was a devoted mother, and her family was everything to her, and because of her huge heart she favored the underdog.  Patti had a close personal relationship with Jesus, and her faith carried her through much of her adult life and specifically the past few months with her illness.

She was preceded in death by her son, Diondre Nordstrom; granddaughter, Ashley Nordstrom; parents, LaVerne and Violet Nordstrom; biological mother, Mary Mesquita; and brother, James Livingston.

Patti is survived by, daughters, Dalieta Nordstrom, Laura Cady & husband Travis Cady, all of Portland, OR; son, Donavon Nordstrom & wife Holly Nordstrom of Havre, MT; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Diane Gibson of Great Falls, and Phyllis and Helen Mesquita, both of California; brother, Carles Mesquita of California; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Patti will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is with her Lord and Savior and will forever be in His care.

"Be Strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1-9
