Mrs. Patricia L. Schaeffer died on December 16. 2022 at the age of 93.

Patricia was born sept. 7, 1929 in Jefferson, South Dakota.

She lived in Portland since 1956 and she was the 11th of 16
children, 10 of whom served in WWII.

She married Richard John Schaeffer in 1949
and worked at Kaiser hospital for 25 years, retiring in 1990.

Patricia was a member of Assumption Catholic Church.
She was active in St. Vincent DePaul Food Bank,
visited the sick, volunteered at Assumption Village
Chapel and won many awards for her quilting.

Surviving are her daughters Patricia Albrich, Debra Schaeffer,
both of Portland, Susan Rufener of Medford and Peggy Verbout
of Vancouver, Washington. Sons Robin and Rick of Portland,
sister June Herke of south Dakota, 12 grandchildren,
14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 1:00 pm on December 22, 2022 at Hustad Funeral Home.

She will be laid to rest at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery in a Private Burial on at 12:30 PM on Friday, December 23, 2022
