Patricia (Pat) Ann Grinnell passed away on December 12, 2020 in Hillsboro, Oregon. She was 94 years old. She was born on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 1926.  Pat was born in Portland, Oregon to Roy and Edith Jorg. She was raised in North Portland and graduated from Jefferson High School.

She married Virgil in 1945 in Portland.  They enjoyed entertaining and playing cards, as well as many outdoor activities.  In 1979 he passed away, and in 1988 she married her longtime neighbor, Wayne Grinnell.  They were married in Kona, Hawaii and had a great five years together travelling and playing games.

Pat always liked to travel and visited many places.  Some of them included travelling across the United States, as well as to Norway, England, and Scotland.

Pat spent 30 years as a legal secretary and was appreciated by all for her excellent work. She was very much a people person.

As a girl, she participated in 4H, where she learned sewing and gardening.  Her father was a 4H leader and an amazing gardener, which he passed on to her.  They grew prize winning roses among other things.  She loved the Rose Festival, and especially liked watching the floats being decorated with flowers.

Sewing was always a favorite hobby.  She made matching outfits for herself and daughter, for nieces, and later granddaughters.

In 2014 she moved to Cornell Estates to be near family and was very happy there.

Favorite pastimes were eating out and sitting in the sunshine, as well as watching the Portland Trailblazers and music shows on TV.  Mexican food and ice cream were favorites. She enjoyed collecting things.  Collections included egg cups, teacups, bells and teddy bears.

Mrs. Grinnell is survived by her daughter: Mary Ann (Gerald) Kennedy and grandchildren: Matthew (Allie) Kennedy, Elizabeth (David) Kennedy-Midkiff, and Rebecca Kennedy.

Patricia will be cremated, and no services are planned at this time.
