Nichelle Andria Watson passed away on March 18, 2024, in Portland, Oregon.  She was 49 years old.

Nichelle was born on March 10, 1975, in Chicago, Illinois to James and Vivian Murphy.  She grew up in San Bernadino, California and graduated High School there.  After High School she came to Portland, Oregon and has lived here since.

She worked as a caretaker for many years.

Nichelle became a member of Word Awakening Church in St. Johnson September 25, 2022 .  She loved music, arts & crafts and was a special person to many people.  Nichelle was a loving mother, and she was a kind and generous person.

She is survived by her sons: Nathaniel Griffin of San Bernadino, CA; Lamar Griffin of Las Vegas, NV; Daughters: Andria Campbell, Los Angeles, CA; Lasha Beasley, Las Vegas, NV; Vivian Williams, Seattle, WA; Brother Anthony Diaz of California and Sister: Marie Watson of Chicago, IL.; Grandchildren: Gabrielle Griffin and Raylynn Bailey and her Significant Other, Anthony Richardson.

Nichelle was preceded in death by her parents James and Vivian Murphy and sister, Shalonda Murphy.

A celebration of life for Nichelle will be held at Word Awakening Church, 8138 North Hudson St. Portland, Oregon 97203 on Monday, April 22, 2024 @ 11:00am.
