Obituary

Naomi Camille (Zook) Keim was born Feb. 11, 1917 to Frank and Nellie Zook, both ordained ministers. She graduated from Myrtle Creek High School in 1936. Her father performed the marriage ceremony to Clifford Earl Fisher in 1940 and they settled in Portland. She was married to him until his death in 1962. On Feb. 14, 1966 she married William Keim and was married to him until his death in 1992. Naomi's dream was to teach and to travel. She began teaching Sunday School at University Park Baptist Church in 1942 and continued to teach until 2009. After her retirement from Tektronix in 1979 she pursued her dream to travel. Naomi traveled to six continents and 47 countries. Other hobbies included gardening, reading, camping, embroidery and sewing. Her legacy to her family is her faith in God, her love of family, her spirit and enthusiasm for life and her caring for friends and flowers. She leaves behind three daughters, Lauralee Tyrell, Sandy Cach (John), Diane Hoddevik (Larry); eight grandchildren, 10 great-grand-children and one great-great-grandchild. A memorial service honoring Naomi's life will be held at University Park Baptist Church in Portland on Tuesday, June 26 at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to University Park Baptist Church.
