Nancy (Tappins) Breninger died Saturday morning, March 2, 2013 in Gresham, Oregon at Powell Valley Assisted Living and Memory Care Community. She was 78. Nancy was born to Westly and Olive Tappins on February 1, 1935 in Sparta, Wisconsin. She attended Roosevelt High School from 1950 to 1953 where she graduated. Nancy was Club President and a member of the XEN-ONN and XI-PHIAS. Nancy married Clelon Breninger on July 2, 1955 in Portland and had two sons. She went to work for Mt. Hood Chemical Corporation starting in 1953 and retired in 1997 after working there for 44 years. Nancy attended the Church of Christ for many years. She loved to play golf and has many trophies that she was very proud of. Nancy is survived by her sons, David Breninger and his wife, Debra and John Breninger and his wife Lillian. She had six Grandchildren: Jason, Stacie, Jennifer, Jessica, Clelon and Sean along with nine Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Donna Gleason Bopp. Visitation will take place on March 14th and 15th from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Hustad Funeral Home with Funeral Services being held there at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 16th.Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Scappoose.
