Mina Stratford of Portland, Oregon, passed away on December 26, 2014 in Hillsboro, Oregon. Mina was born in Scotia Township (Landa), North Dakota to Peter and Marie Fylling on December 3, 1917. She attended school in Bottineau County, Nursing school in Los Angeles, California and then moved to Portland, Oregon to work at Emanuel Hospital. She married Donald Stratford on September 24, 1950 in Portland, Oregon. She was involved in a variety of volunteer activities both in her church and the community including Sunday school, Boy & Girl Scouts, Friends of Columbia Park, Portland Community Policing, and helping at Northwest Place where she lived the past 14 years. Mina is preceded in death by her parents Peter and Marie, her husband Donald and all of her siblings. Mina is survived by her son John Stratford (Ronda), daughter Marie Stratford and son Merlyn Stratford; Grandchildren Reuben Stratford (Sarah) and Andrea Parmalee (Tyrone); Great Grandchildren Robyn, Holly, Boone, Joshua, Hailey, Jennifer and Emma; and a long list of very dear friends and relatives.
