Melissa Piper was born in Portland, Oregon on January 30, 1975 to Tom and Nancy Phillips. She was a lifelong resident of St. Johns, and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1993.

Melissa is survived by her father, Tom Phillips, her daughter, Ava Piper and sister Amy Phillips and Jason and Hunter Evans, her nephews. She is also survived by numerous other loving family members.

She is preceded in death by her mother Nancy Phillips in 2016.

Melissa passed away, at the age 42 in Portland, Oregon on September 23, 2017.

A Memorial Services will be held 1:00 PM at Hustad Funeral Home, on Saturday, October 7, 2017, with a reception following the service.
