Matty Palaniuk passed away on January 11, 2014 of natural causes. He was born to Stephen and Mary Palaniuk in Walterville, Oregon on April 26, 1922. Matty was a graduate of Springfield High School in Springfield, Oregon. He was married to Phyllis Davis on July 8, 1946 in Vancouver, Washington. Matty served in the United States Army Infantry during World War II in the European Theater. He was a Millwright and retired after working for Weyerhaeuser for 30 years. Services will be private. Interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
