Lois Marie
Ross
November 23, 1927 – August 31, 2018
Lois Marie Ross died in her home surrounded by family on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 5:40 am. She was 90 years old.
Lois was a warm and loving person. A little person with a strong personality and loved by so many.
She was born in St. Johns on November 23, 1927. She would always say she was a 'Thanksgiving Baby' being born on Thanksgiving Day. When she turned 90 it too landed on Thanksgiving Day and she was proud of that.
Lois was born to her parents Nina Muir Hellman and Charles Michael Hellman. Chuck and Nina owned and operated the Chevron Station in St. Johns which is now "The Signal Station". On April 16, 1970 Chuck Hellman, her father, handed the keys to his son-in-law Duane Ross and Daughter, Lois, to take over the business.
Lois was born and raised as a Seventh-Day Adventist. She believed in her church and knows one day we will all meet again.
Survivors include: Son and Daughter-in-law Charles Reed and Rose Reed; Daughter and Son-in-law, Talina Montgomery and Floyd Montgomery; Siblings: Sisters, Wanda Petersen, Shirley Chiburis and Brother, Roy Wesson.
Her grandchildren include: Heidee Gifford, Cory Birchard, Misty Marcott, Laurie Sandifer. She has 6 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. She also has 9 Nieces and Nephews.
Her biggest joy was her family and she longed for us to be together. She will be forever missed. Arrangements were entrusted to Hustad Funeral Home.
