Keith Emery Olson was born October 21, 1926 and passed away at home on December 30, 2012. He died peacefully at home in Scappoose in the arms of his wife Gwen and with other family members present. Keith was born in Northwood, Dakota to Peter and Mabel Olson. In March of 1949 he married Gwendolyne Lorraine Pence; they were married for 64 years. Keith is survived by his wife and sisters, Shirley Smith, Delores Odoms and brother Donovan Olson and several nieces and nephews. Keith was preceded in death by his parents and a twin brother, Kent, a brother Ninian and sister Gay L-Yvonne Cordes. Keith moved to Oregon from North Dakota, served in the U.S. Army, worked in the Portland Shipyards, at Swift and Co. and as an auto mechanic. He retired from Local 8 as a Longshoreman. Keith enjoyed waterskiing, bowling, stockcar racing and playing cards. In 1978 he and his wife moved to Scappoose where they enjoyed wildlife and raising farm animals. In the past several years Keith developed Lewy, bodies Dementia, Parkinson and Diabetes. Keith will be greatly missed by his wife, family and all of his nieces and nephews. God Bless him.
