Born Joyce Loleta Maureen Johnson on April 26, 1926 in Arctander Township, Minnesota to parents William and Christie Johnson. Joyce was raised on the farm with three sisters and four brothers. She attended school thru the eighth grade in a one room schoolhouse at Pony Lake, about a mile walk.
She married during World War 2 and was divorced soon after.
Joyce worked hard and saved during the war and moved to find work in Oregon by the age of 20. She soon met and married Timothy Llewellyn, who brought his daughter Patricia to live with them.
Joyce raised Patricia and later when Timothy passed away, Joyce met and married Sonny Bergler. Sonny brought two children into the home, Paris and Pam.
Joyce loved her home and neighbors on N. Druid Ave. She worked hard as a homemaker and at various jobs as caregiver, Meals on Wheels driver and as a Kelly Girl.
She is survived by her brother Don Johnson, sister Delores Marsh, and stepson Paris Bergler. She was preceded in death by her stepdaughter Patricia Bailey and survived by Patricia's husband Garland Bailey and their children Stephen Bailey and Lynette Cronin, and Lynette's children and grandchildren.
Joyce will be laid to rest at Historical Columbian Cemetary next to her late husband Sonny Bergler.
