Joseph Obert Hustad Jr, age 76, of Portland Oregon, passed away on December 11th, 2025.

Joe was born on December 11th, 1949 in Portland Oregon. He was the son of Joseph Obert Hustad Sr. and Rose Viola Hustad.

Joe was deeply involved in his community and his faith. He was an active member of the Sons of Norway and a devoted member of Shepherd of the Valley Church, where his faith and service was central to his life. Joe was also an accomplished artist, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Pacific Lutheran University. His creativity and artistic eye were a source of joy throughout his life.

Above all, Joe's love and dedication to his family were unwavering. He was a caring brother, uncle and great-uncle whose presence will be deeply missed

Joe is survived by his sister, Peggy Hustad; Nephews: Ron Candiff, James Candiff and Dustin Hustad; Nieces: Enga Hustad and Deborah Miller;  4 great nephews: Broden, John, Kamden and Aasen; 7 great nieces: Jessika, Ashley, Alyssa, Tyra, Jami, Isla and Lauren; 1 great great nephew: Asher and 1 great great niece: Maddie. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and brother John Andrew Hustad.

A memorial service will be held on January 3rd at 1:00 pm at Hustad Funeral Home in St. Johns. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sons of Norway or Shepherd of the Valley Church.
