Johanna E. Hoffmiller died in Portland on December 20, 2016 at age 88.  Johanna, also known as JoEllen, was born in Portland, Oregon on March 17, 1928 to Charles and Wilma Rowlands.  She worked as a clerk at an Unemployment office for many years.  She was married to Laurence J. Hoffmiller in Stevenson, Washington on April 20, 1971.  He passed away in 2003.

JoEllen is survived by her sons, Michael Riley and Tom Perry and her daughters Sharon Riley MacArthur and Dianne Townsend along with many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. JoEllen was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Ricker.

At her request no services are to be held.  A private burial at Willamette National Cemetery took place on December 28, 2016.
