Joanne (Broome) Grow of Portland, OR passed away on August 25th at 87 years old.

She was 1 of 7 siblings, with 5 sisters and 2 brothers and the last living among them.

A loving mother and grandmother, a rose festival princess and a long time employee of Western Union.

Later in life, she became a greeter at her local Fred Meyer, and loved by her community.

Joanne enjoyed traveling, reading and her family.

She will be greatly missed by all of us.

She is survived by her son Darren James Hanke, daughter by choice (granddaughter by birth) Lianne Nicole Hanke, daughter-in-law Tamatha Karen Dawn Hanke, and 5 grandchildren, Sydney Paige Isabell Hanke, Gabrielle Sage Violet Hanke, Emma "Noah" Belle Jones, Molly Lyn Jones and Mia Rose Pierce.

A memorial will be held in her honor at Hustad Funeral Home on Thursday, September 12th at 11am and open to all who would like to commemorate her life and love she gave to those around her.
