Janice Carrol Peterson was born on October 8, 1937 in Fargo, North Dakota to Reuben and Christine Jacobson.   She was raised and educated in Wolcott, North Dakota and graduated from High School there.

Janice was married to Robert Peterson on February 1, 1957 in North Dakota.  She came to Oregon in 1966 and has lived here since.

Janice worked for many years as a machine operator at Crown Zellerbach until her retirement.

She is survived by: Children: Robert Peterson, Debra Rousseau, Gary Peterson and Renae Strandberg and her ten Grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren as well as her siblings: Judy, Mary and Chuck.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Peterson and her parents, Reuben and Christine.Jacobson.

A celebration of life will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Portsmouth Trinity Lutheran Church.

Jance will be laid to rest with her husband, Robert,  at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
