Howard L. Hale passed away in Portland on February 8, 2017. He was 93.  Howard was born on March 3, 1923 in Luverne, MN to Jesse and Lavona Hale.  He served in the US Navy during WWII and was married to Hazel J. Harrison.  She died in 2003. Howard worked as a pipefitter for a fire sprinkler company.  He is survived by son, Robert L. Hale and grandchildren, Phillip Hale and Tobriah Van Diepen and 5 Great Grandchildren.   A private inurnment will be at Willamette National Cemetery.
