Helen Mary Hertel Fessler was born April 17, 1924 in Hillsboro, OR and died September 23, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank. Helen was the fifth of 9 children of Frank and Gertrude (Gellings) Hertel. She is survived by her sister, Gertrude. Helen married Frank Fessler on July 31, 1949. She was a loving wife and mother to six children: Norma (Jack) Christensen, Robert (Carolyn), Stephen, Susan (Tim) Adams, James, and Joan (Mike) Potts. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Holy Cross Church on Friday, Oct 5. The rosary will start at 10:15am with the funeral service to follow at 11am. Services entrusted to Hustad Funeral Home.
