Gloria Ann Peterson Feb. 04, 1935 - Oct. 31, 2013 Our loving mother, Gloria Peterson, passed away peacefully in her home in the company of her sons. Gloria was adopted by the late Royal Dewey and Josephine Eyestone of Omaha, Nebraska where she was born. She grew up in Portland, Oregon and graduated from Roosevelt High School. Her great joy in life was her children and to give of herself unselfishly to others through service both in her church, her volunteer work and her employment. Gloria was a beloved member of the community and retired as a Librarian at James John Elementary School. She also spent many years doing the Lord's work at First Baptist Church of St Johns where she was baptized and served in the Library and helped with Sunday School. She loved working with children and was adored by them. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren, gardening, mystery stories, music and caring for family and friends. Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, our father Keith and other family members. Gloria is survived by her two sons Brian and David; two grandchildren Matthew and Sarah; nieces and nephews and other family members. A private celebration of life service will be held for family and close friends at Hustad Funeral Home in Portland, Oregon. We love and miss you mom but we know we will see you again someday.
