Gary Carver passed away on July 8, 2016 in Gresham, Oregon at age 62. Gary was born in Portland, Oregon to Gerald and Clarice Carver. He was raised in Cloverdale, Oregon and graduated from Nestucca High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1976 to 1981 as Staff Sergeant. He was married to Pamela Vetor in Portland on April 14, 1984. Gary worked for Freightliner for 23 years then later became a Union Representative for I.A.M. local 1005 machinists and aerospace workers union in Portland. Most recently he was a Truck Driver Manager for Performance Warehouse. He was a member of AMVETS and Eagles Riders, the North Portland Eagles Lodge, numerous car clubs and he assisted with the Portland Roaster Show (MHRC). Gary is survived by his wife, Pamela; Children: Joseph Stephens, Gerald Carver III, Diane Hage, Olivia Feather; Sisters: Victoria Giesbrecht and Sue Hubbard; Grandchildren: Brianna Hunter, Brennen and Vanessa Stephens; KaDy, Morgan and Gage Beaver; Mary-Jane, Madison and Donovan Feather. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Ann Carver in 2001.
A Graveside Gathering will be on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 12:00 PM at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland followed by a Celebration of Life at the North Portland Eagles Lodge, 7611 N Exeter Ave, Portland, OR.
