A funeral gathering for Frances M. Bollinger will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Hustad Funeral Home Chapel, 7232 N. Richmond Avenue in Portland. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 20th at Hustad Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Frances was born on February 4, 1949 in Fresno, California to Santos and Helen Herrera. She was raised in Southern California and graduated from Azusa High School in 1967. She served in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 to 1972 in Vietnam and was in the Reserves from 1972 to 1977. She was married to Gary J. Bollinger in Portland on August 15, 1981. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Gary; a daughter, Rachel Martinez-Fierro; Sons, Richard Ramos, Westley Bollinger, Silas Perez, Juan Perez and Gilbert Brown. She has many Grandchildren and three Great Grandchildren as well as many other relatives in the Western United States. Interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Hustad Funeral Home. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
