Donald F. Jarvis, Sr. passed away in Portland on June 15, 2017 at age 77.  Donald was born on December 13, 1939 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Francis and June Jarvis.   He came to Gresham, Oregon at age 5 with his family where he was raised. He attended Gresham High School.  After school he worked for the Nicholai Door Company in NW Portland and later began his plumbing apprenticeship.  Donald became a journeyman plumber and worked in that field for over 50 years until his retirement.

He was an avid traveler and enjoyed coaching softball and baseball for kids teams in Portland.  He was also an umpire for kids teams.

At his request, services will be private.  He will be inurned at Willamette National Cemetery.

Donald is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gwen; Children, Sue, Janet and Donnie Jarvis; Brother, Steve Jarvis; Sisters, Sandy Moyer and Stephanie Glover.  He was preceded in death by his sisters, Sonja Frye and Kay Weeg.
