Donald W. Dinsmore passed away on September 17th at age 88. Donald was born on February 20, 2013 in Portland, Oregon to Sterling and Isabelle Dinsmore. He was raised and educated in Portland and graduated from Roosevelt High School. Donald was married to Marian Olson on November 25, 1947 in Portland. He attended Vanport College and later graduated from Oregon College of Education in Monmouth in 1952. Donald taught elementary education at the Brooklyn, Chief Joseph and then Woodlawn Schools in Portland for many years. He later received a Masters in History from the University of Portland where he was curator of the school's museum. He retired in 2009. Donald was a member of the VFW and American Legion Post #98. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marian and his children, Michael, Patrick, Kevin, Paul, Rebecca and Matthew Dinsmore; Sister, Phyllis Devitt along with 10 Grandchildren and three Great Grandchildren. A funeral gathering for Donald will be held on Thursday, September 26th at 10:00 AM at Hustad Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland
