Debra Lynne Main, long time resident of Milwaukie, Oregon, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on September 23, 1957, in Portland to Richard and Alpha Akers, Debra was the youngest of 11 children.
Shortly after graduation from Milwaukie High School, she discovered her true calling in healthcare, embarking on a lifelong career as a Certifi ed Nursing Assistant (CNA). Debra dedicated her early years to serving residents in nursing homes and retirement centers. Around 1998, she transitioned into in-home caregiving, where she found her greatest professional fulfi llment.
Over the following decades, she became a cherished companion and advocate for countless clients, touching many lives with her patience, kindness, and advocacy.
Outside of her work, Debra was a woman of many interests. She was an avid reader and a lover of historical documentaries, but her favorite stories were the ones told to her by her clients; she truly loved listening to the rich life histories of those she cared for. She also found great joy in the company of her beloved cat and, above all else, cherished time spent with her family, friends, and neighbors.
Debra is survived by her only child, a daughter, Jennifer Hall (spouse Jason Hall); her two grandchildren, and her two great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind a legacy of compassion towards others and resilience through life’s hard seasons. A funeral service will be held at Hustad Funeral Home on March 31, 2026, at 1 p.m. Debra will be buried at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. She will be laid to rest March 31st, 2026 at 3pm where a graveside committal service will be held.
