David was born in Seattle to George and Vesta Crockett. He moved to Tacoma where he graduated from Stadium High School in 1944. Upon graduation, Dave joined the U.S. Navy where he served in the Pacific Theater. He worked in residential construction in and around Seattle for decades. He was a longtime Elk and he loved music, boating, camping and dancing. Many of Dave's happiest times were spent as a snowbird in Yuma, Ariz. Dave was happily married to Barbara (Sam) Crockett for 45 years before her passing in 2000. He is survived by his loving friend, Helen Coddington; and nephews, Mark Mathieson (Elaine) and Scott Mathieson (Betsy). Dave will be interred in Willamette National Cemetery.
