Danny Joseph Niehuser died at home in Portland on April 15, 2014 at age 66. Danny was born on December 18, 1947 to James Niehuser and Mary Wald-Pfaff. Danny has been married to Pamela Christine Niehuser for 40 years. After graduating from Roosevelt High School, Danny served in the US Army in Vietnam in the 101st Airborne Ranger Division. As a paratrooper and medic, he was awarded a bronze star medal and a purple heart. Later he attended real estate courses at Mount Hood Community College and later purchased several rental homes in the St. Johns Area. Danny retired from the Port of Portland as a Longshoreman where he had worked with his father, Jim Niehuser, his brother, Dave Pfaff and good friends Don Maynard and George Rimer. Danny is survived by his wife, Pam; his son, Dennis; his daughters Debbie Christine and Teresa Mae. Danny had six grandchildren: Johnathan, Josh, David, Autumn, Samantha and Cheyenne. He is also survived by siblings: Mary Lou, David, Mark, Dawn and Junior.
