Charlene Rae "C-Rae" Minjarez passed away at 56 years young on Wednesday September 16th 2020. She took her last breath at Legacy Mt. Hood medical Center in Gresham Oregon surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born on June 24th, 1964 in Portland Oregon to parents Ricardo Minjarez and Charlotte Quenelle.
Charlene attended Roosevelt High School but ultimately finished with her GED. She lived a nomadic lifestyle but resided mostly in the Portland Metro area, Seattle Washington/surrounding areas and Grand Ronde Oregon. Most of her life, however, she resided in and around Warm Springs, OR.
Charlene has always been a fan of the North Carolina Tarheels, but she loved sports in general. Her last days she spent rooting for the Portland Trail Blazers. She loved everything outdoors including fishing, camping and pow-wow trail but one memory we all have is of her at the Pendelton Round-Up where she really Let 'Er Buck! She had a Traveler spirit and partied hard, but she loved even harder and in return she was loved by all those who were lucky enough to cross her path.
She is survived by her children Gertrude Minjarez (Jeff), Merrissa Conklin (Derick), Gloria Ike (Tony), Charlotte Ike (Crystal), Louie Ike, Jr and Lanell Ike(Taylor) as well as her grandchildren Renaldo Noffsinger, Alexandrea Ike-Sedano, Kaliyah Conklin, JaMario VanPelt, Albert VanPelt, AyiAnnah Noffsinger, Mikaela Lundin, Syriana VanPelt, Kamden Conklin, Robby Sedano and Isabelle VanPelt and her siblings Renaldo, Reina, Bonnie, Marilynn, Greg, Christina and Mona along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Charlene is preceded in death by her ex-husband Louie Ike Sr, grandsons Keemani Conklin and Enrique Sedano Jr, her brothers Eddie & Ronnie, her sisters Carmen & Jackie, her aforementioned parents and her grandparents Gertrude Perry, Ramon Minjarez, Leonard and Lizette Quenelle along with many other lost but not forgotten family members.
Celebration of life will be held at Hustad Funeral Home in St. Johns Oregon on Monday September 21st 2020 at 11:00 am. Her final resting place will be Riverview Cemetery in Portland Oregon.
