Carolyn Jean Veley left us at the age of 74. She passed away peacefully on Monday morning, June 11th, 2018 surrounded by family. Carloyn was born in Seattle, Washington. Daughter of Carl L. Veley and Inga Veley Garmann. She truly lived her life helping people. As the oldest sister, a nurse, a mom, a grandmother, and a great grandmother, she was always there as a resource, a sounding board, and at the end of time here on earth, the matriarch of the family. Saying she will be missed is an understatement. The grandkids called her on a regular basis knowing she would always be there; to listen to stories, plant some seeds of advice, or inspire them to achieve a goal they were aiming for. She was always eager to hear a friendly voice or see a smiling face, although not too early in the morning. J We are celebrating her life with a close family gathering playing pinochle, sharing stories, and looking through a treasure trove of pictures. We are here in the wake of an amazing life from a woman who always loved an adventure. Her next one has already started. One element of her life that little knew about was her success and accomplishments as a nurse. This is too important to leave out. It is also said here at the end because to her, as successful as she was, work or personal accomplishments were never placed ahead of family.
