Carmen Sablan Corpuz, known as "Mamie" passed away at her home at age 66 on August 17, 2014 in Portland, Oregon with pancreatic cancer. She was born on the Island of Saipan, in the Northern Marianas to Vicente Tudela Sablan and Isabel Cruz Artero. Carmen moved to Guam at the age of 17 then moved Portland, Oregon, near her sister, Inez. Carmen held several jobs, sometimes 3 jobs at the same time to support her two boys. She is survived by her two sons, Salvador and Cornelleo Corpuz, grandson, Tyler, two brothers: Pascual and Antonio Sablan two sisters: Maria Victoria San Nicolas and Inez Rodrigues. She is also survived with many nephews and nieces Carmen was loved by many and is always so generous and thoughtful to her immediate family as well as extended family.
