Brock Douglas Brumbaugh, of Portland, Oregon passed away peacefully at age 83 on December 22, 2022.

Brock was born July 17, 1939, in Sabetha, Kansas to Herbert and Margaret Brumbaugh, he was the youngest of three siblings. Brock graduated from Gresham High School where he played football, was a pole vaulter, and made some lifelong friends. He served in the Army after finishing school and then began a career in construction. He retired following a successful partnership at Campbell Crane.

In 1965 he married the love of his life Karen. They enjoyed 57 years together and raised two children.  They shared many adventures over the years with family and friends on their boats, on the links, and in their home at the base of the West Maui mountains.

Brock was passionate about cars. He raced sports cars throughout the Pacific Northwest and Canada in the late 1950's and 1960's and was an original member of Team Continental. He once held the record at Portland International Raceway in the "Speed Trap" on the south straightaway in front of the pits.  Brock was a lifelong race fan and car enthusiast.

Brock was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he thought they deserved.  His family meant more to him than anything in the world, and he enjoyed all the time spent together, especially the annual birthday trip to Seascape.

Brock was predeceased by his father Herbert, mother Margaret, and sister K'Lynn. He is survived by his wife Karen, children Bryan and Juliann, grandchildren Blaine, Brittany, and AJ, great grandchildren Faith and Lily, sister D'Anne, and many friends. He will be dearly missed.
