Brendan Alan Dunnigan

b. March 14, 1974, d. July 12, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Brendan Alan Dunnigan on July 12, 2026, at the age of 52. We will forever miss his welcoming spirit and easy smile.

Brendan was the son of James and Myrna Dunnigan (Holler) of Portland, Oregon. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Dunnigan; his six children, Brezdan, Jessica, Bradley, Mackenzie, Breziah, and Teddy; two grandchildren; and his brother, Boyd Dunnigan.

Brendan attended Job Corps and served in the Army National Guard. A dedicated union laborer for many years, he was known for his strong work ethic, knowledge, and dependability. Beyond his career, Brendan regularly gave back to his community and supported others through his involvement in Volunteers of America. Brendan was happiest outdoors, especially at the beach, backpacking, fishing, and taking peaceful walks with our dogs. He cherished simple moments and quality time spent with loved ones.

A celebration of Brendan’s life will be held at Pier Park, Picnic Site A (N. Lombard Street and Bruce Avenue, Portland, OR 97203) on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. We will gather under the trees for a small, informal ceremony, followed by a potluck meal and time to enjoy fellowship. Please bring a dish for our potluck and your memories of Brendan to share.

Brendan was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed.
