Obituary

Bonnie Sue (Morton) Price passed away peacefully in her home on May 22nd. She is survived by her daughters Rhonda Reisen (Gary) and Mitzi Behrens (Larry McClure); grandchildren Gavin Price Miller, Kelsey Miller Paulus, Carrie Cullinan and Sadie Behrens; five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her following family members: beloved husband Ray in 2013 (married almost 73 years); stillborn daughter, Vicki Sue, in 1946; brothers Olen (Jack), Perry and Paul Morton; and sister Tessie (Morton) Viator. She was born to Carrie (Hanner) and Walter Morton in Uniontown, Arkansas on Christmas Eve, 1919. Her family later moved to Oklahoma, where she met Ray. They married in Rocky, Oklahoma, on March 2, 1940. Bonnie loved to sew her own clothing, dance, and go riding with Ray on his motorcycle. After Ray returned from WWII, they moved to Burns Flat, OK. Their daughters were born during this time in Oklahoma. In 1956 they moved to Portland, where a lot of Bonnie's family lived. She was a terrific homemaker, seamstress, jewelry maker and enjoyed vacationing with Ray in their travel trailer. Besides going to Oklahoma every summer to visit Ray's family, they loved rockhounding. They were snow birds', traveling to Quartzsite, Arizona yearly to visit with their many friends, and to sell the jewelry and items they'd hand-crafted. Bonnie was happiest spending time with her family, making sure everyone was content and having fun. Her sweet personality and generous heart will be missed so much. Mom, may you rest in loving peace with Daddy.
