Billy Lee Bailiff passed away on September 30, 2019 in Forest Grove, OR.  He was 87 years old.

Mr. Bailiff was born on June 19, 1932 in Corning, Iowa.  He was raised and educated in the St Johns neighborhood of Portland, Oregon.  He attended Jefferson High School. Billy served in the US Navy from 1951-1954.  He was married to Betty Jones in San Diego, CA.

Following his discharge, Mr. Bailiff returned to Portland, OR and worked for the Oregon Steel Mill until his retirement as Plant Supervisor in 1989. He and his wife enjoyed traveling the United States in their RV. Most recently he'd been living in Arizona but returned to Portland in 2014.

He is survived by his son, David (Tracy) of Newberg, OR. Two grandchildren: Kaycie Bailiff and Tyler Mahon and Three Great-Grandchildren.

Interment with honors for Billy Lee Bailiff will be on October 15, 2019 at  11:30 AM at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland OR.
