Benedict Robert Guidarelli was born on July 14, 1922, in Hibbing, Minnesota, to Frank and Philomena Guidarelli.

He served in the US Navy during World War II.  After his discharge from the military he settled in Portland, Oregon.  He met Violet Paulson and the two were married on April 13, 1946.

Benedict worked in many positions throughout his life and retired from Reynolds Metals in the 1980's.

He was an avid baseball player and was a member of several bowling leagues and loved pitching horseshoes.

A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 1:30 PM, Saturday, July 13 at St. Birgitta Catholic Church, 11820 NW St Helens Rd, Portland, OR 97231 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 PM.  Interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery.

Benedict is survived by his children: Ena Bezley, Karen Paul, Denise Erceg and Frank Guidarelli, along with 10 grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.
