Barbara J. Downey was born on June 22, 1933 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Raymond and Merle McDaniel. She was married to Orville W. Downey on August 1, 1950 in Indiana. She came to Portland in 1958 to St. Johns where she has lived since. She was a homemaker. Barbara is survived by her children: Cathy, Darlene and Raymond Downey; Brother, Harold Staggs; 6 grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. Funeral gathering will be Monday, January 6, 2014 at 11:00am at Hustad Funeral Home Chapel. Private interment will be at Skyline Memorial Gardens.
