Andrew was born in Vancouver, WA and moved with his parents and siblings to North Portland around 1960. He grew up there and attended Portsmouth School and Roosevelt High School. He later joined the Army and spent time in Germany after which he returned to North Portland and then later moved to Vancouver, WA. Andrew worked hard for many years in construction and belonged to the Pile Driver & Divers Union. He was proud of his contribution to his work and loved his job. Andy suffered a stroke during a medical procedure a few years ago and although he came through very well, his doctors determined he could not return to work. It was hard for Andy to learn that he could not go back to work at the job he loved and reluctantly he retired. Some of us called him Angry Andy' and he got some kind of joy out of that but in reality beneath his rough exterior; he was the epitome of kindness and generosity. Andy would give you the shirt from his back but for that you would also have to listen to the sermon he thought you needed to hear. He cared about everyone. Andy loved everyone but most importantly his family. Andrew was preceded in death by his Parents Dave & "Therese" Wilkinson; Brothers Danny, Tom and James "Jinx". He is survived by his brothers Bob (Kris), Joe, Mathew, and his sister Mary.
